Movies…I watched most of them this year. The 10 listed here moved me in some way… One film re-established my love of film at a time when I was getting bored with the industry. That would be number 1. Here are my Top Ten Movies of 2011. If you watch [...]

  • The Descendants – Review

Faced with an impossible situation a man does his best to get through it by embracing all that matters to him. George Clooney stars as Matt King in a film from Alexander Payne. Payne had a style all his own and I’m a fan. Sideways and Election are two of [...]

Gossip Girl likes her clothes

Arriving in theaters next month, MONTE CARLO is a romantic comedy about three young women whose Paris vacation is turned upside down when one is mistaken for a real-life princess and they’re all carted off to adventure in the titular resort. Directed by THOMAS BEZUCHA (BIG EDEN) from the novel HEADHUNTERS by JULES BASS, the cast features such familiar TV faces as SELENA GOMEZ, LEIGHTON MEESTER, KATIE CASSIDY, BRETT CULLEN, AMANDA FAIRBANK-HYNES and CORY MONTEITH.
Probably best known for her role as socialite Blair Waldorf on the hit CW-TV series GOSSIP GIRL, LEIGHTON MEESTER is no stranger to extravagant wardrobe but found herself taken aback by the clothes featured in MONTE CARLO. At last weekend’s press conference to promote the film, she talked about her embarrassment of riches.

Hard Breakers – New Movie

“Lindsay and Alexis have it all”….

Opening in limited release on Friday May 20 is Hard Breakers.

Tom Arnold, Tia Carrere, and Chris Kattan are in this film.

However I don’t think that is the focus of this title.

As you can see in the photo attached here…it’s about much more. (Sophie Monk & Cameron Richardson)

It opens in Miami and San Diego tomorrow…but it’s also showing in my home theater this evening.

So needless to say I’ll be tied up tonight. Review will be released tomorrow, but it looks good to me.

Make sure to check this film out when it comes out near you…or just come over my house tonight. (Kidding)

Check out the Trailer

Synopsis:
Driven by a history of dating pitfalls and frustration with men, Alexis and her best friend Lindsay decide to turn the tables and devise a plan to lure unsuspecting men close enough to knock them out and drag them back to their lair for their own satisfaction. When an absent father and an obsessive ex-boyfriend force Alexis to confront her issues with men, the girls’ plan goes awry and Alexis falls head over heels in love with one of her male conquests. Lindsay, consumed by her darker nature, decides to go out on the hunt alone, leading to her arrest. In the end, the girls reunite and recognize the strength of their friendship and that ultimately; their own self worth determines how men will treat them.

Brad Pitt – Talking Tree of Life

This week I screened the new Terrence Malick film Tree of Life…

Brad Pitt stars in this wildly creative trip of a movie.

The film also has Sean Penn in it…for a little bit.

It comes out June 10…can’t say more about it until then.

For sure one of the more interesting films that I’ve seen in awhile.

Here is Brad talking about working with the veteran director..
