Top Ten Rentals

Everyone is always asking me, “What’s a good movie to rent?”

Here’s my current list you can use when you are looking for something quality to rent. It will be updated weekly based on new releases. Just look over the list and read the brief description and if one of them fits your rental mood- do it. Don’t see any recent rental releases from past few weeks? That is because they are not good so they did not make the list.

There is no particular order, but all of them will make for a solid rental. Enjoy!

1. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Space/Drama. Worth a rental and a good movie on its own. B

2. Hacksaw Ridge – War/Drama Mel Gibson directs this epic story starring Andrew Garfield who was excellent. Great war movie. A

3. The Edge of Seventeen – Comedy/Drama A throwback to the 80’s style of teen movies. Superb acting with realistic characters & storylines. The best movie of 2016, sadly I didn’t see it until 2017. A+

4. Patriot’s Day – Drama. Compelling retelling of a horrific act. Solid movie. B

5. Split – Action/Horror. Very strange and crazy film from M. Night.  B

6. The Founder – Drama. Interesting look inside the Mcdonald’s story. B

7. A Bigger Splash – Drama. This is a different kind of film with good acting. It’s like a weird vacation with some odd and interesting people. B-

8. Arrival – Space/Mystery. Excellent and smart film. Do it. A

9. Hidden Figures – Drama. Great cast and story worth a rental. B

10. Lion – Drama. A great story with a slow build but impactful finish.
