Top Ten Rentals

Everyone is always asking me, “What’s a good movie to rent?”

Here’s my current list you can use when you are looking for something quality to rent. It will be updated weekly based on new releases. Just look over the list and read the brief description and if one of them fits your rental mood- do it. Don’t see any recent rental releases from past few weeks? That is because they are not good so they did not make the list.

There is no particular order, but all of them will make for a solid rental. Enjoy!

1. Jackie – Drama. Natalie Portman dazzles as the complicated and fascinating iconic figure. B

2. Hacksaw Ridge – War/Drama Mel Gibson directs this epic story starring Andrew Garfield who was excellent. Great war movie. A

3. The Edge of Seventeen – Comedy/Drama A throwback to the 80’s style of teen movies. Superb acting with realistic characters & storylines. The best movie of 2016, sadly I didn’t see it until 2017. A+

4. Don’t Breathe – Scary/Horror. Enough originality to make it worth a rental. C

5. 10 Cloverfield Lane – Action/Horror. My favorite film of the year so far!  A

6. Hell or High Water – Drama/Action. Bank robbing cowboy movies with great acting. A

7. A Bigger Splash – Drama. This is a different kind of film with good acting. It’s like a weird vacation with some odd and interesting people. B-

8. Arrival – Space/Mystery. Excellent and smart film. Do it. A

9. Sully – Drama/Action. Tom Hanks is enough reason to rent this. B

10. The Invitation – Thriller. A dinner party that u wouldn’t want to attend.
